FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions About Lifepoint Solutions

Q: Why did you merge?

A: The leadership of both agencies wanted to make a larger impact throughout Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky while being good stewards of the investment made in our agencies. The merger strengthens our ability to grow core programs by building on each other’s expertise, infrastructure and geographic reach. We recognized that by integrating services throughout our region, clients will increase their opportunity to reach self-sufficiency. Children, adults and families will now have access to more comprehensive services throughout Greater Cincinnati, including Clermont County and Northern Kentucky.

Q: Why did you change the name?

A: The joining of Family Service and Clermont Counseling Center was an equal merger of two private nonprofit agencies and these names no longer reflect who we are, including the breadth of our services and our geographic reach. They also generated confusion with other entities such as government agencies. The merger provided an opportunity to choose a name to strategically represent the work that we do while symbolizing key agency themes identified in our naming process.

Q: Why did you choose the name LifePoint Solutions?

A: We feel the name says what we do and embodies who we are. We offer solutions at different points in people’s lives. Staff, marketing experts, board members and community leaders were part of a process in identifying the new name. There were several criteria that we defined including: free from jargon, easy for clients to understand, and positive and action-oriented language. We then looked for themes that transcended our services. The one word that continued to emerge was “life.” We also liked “solutions” because it sends a strong message that we help people find solutions to change their lives.
