School-Based Services
Sometimes a child may miss school for a physical illness however; many times the reason may be driven by emotional or family issues. LifePoint Solutions School-Based Services assist children, families, and schools in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky reach educational and emotional success by addressing the underlying cause of the problems. LifePoint Solution's trained staff work collaboratively with Family Resource Centers, school administrators, and teachers to provide services within the school. Through counseling, case management, and group services LifePoint Solutions helps students and families to realize their potential and overcome the obstacles impeding success. Schools improve attendance, and academic performance while everyone benefits from having healthier children and families within our community.
Our Services
Individual Therapy:
Students are often referred for individual therapy by teachers, administrators, school guidance counselors, parents, or self referral. Issues commonly discussed include: anger management, parent conflict, depression, self-esteem, suicidal feelings, lack of motivation, inability to express feelings and emotions, and physical or sexual abuse.
Family Counseling:
When possible family members are involved in counseling sessions since the involvement of the whole family system can help to bring about meaningful change and improvement for students.
Group sessions:
School-based therapists facilitate groups for certain issues and concerns as needs arise within the student population. Topics that are commonly discussed in group sessions include: conflict resolution, communication skills, self-esteem, anger management, personal hygiene, academic performance, divorced families, and alcohol and drug use/abuse.
Parent Engagement:
LifePoint Solutions Family Support Specialists work with School Administrators and Family and Children First to provide volunteer coordination, parent event planning and resource coordination. Additionally they reach out to families to develop a positive relationship, identify barriers to their child’s learning and work with the family, school and community resources to eliminate those barriers.

EBD Services:
Emotionally and behaviorally disturbed students are treated through individual and group counseling.
Program Development:
LifePoint Solutions will partner with your school to assess and develop needed programming and services.
Attendance/Drop-Out Prevention:
Using a case management approach, close relationships are developed with the student and their parents to remove barriers to attendance.
